Senate Alert: Call Now! YES to $2000 Relief Check, N0 to More Defense Dollars!
Perhaps as early as today, Thursday December 31 the Senate will be asked to consider two crucial items: the 2021 National Defense Authorization Act, (NDAA) totaling $740.5 billion and the House of Representatives 2020 CASH Act (HR 9051) passed Monday by a margin of 275-134, that would immediately increase the relief checks for needy Americans up to $2000.
While Mitch McConnell is racing to push through a vote on the Defense Authorization bill, he is so far refusing to put the $2000 stimulus bill on the floor. Senator Sanders and others are attempting to delay a vote on the NDAA, until McConnell allows the stimulus package to receive a vote.
A handful of Senators can make the difference. Please call your Senators today and ask them to:
Vote Against the 2021 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and Vote in Favor of the 2020 CASH Act which would bring the relief check for Americans in need, up to $2000.
To reach them, use Capitol Switchboard: 202-224-3121. If nobody answers in the Senate office, leave a message. Calls to Republicans are especially important.
