Historians for Peace and Democracy (H-PAD) takes protecting your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy applies to the H-PAD website (www.historiansforpeace.org), and all pages within, to all email communications sent from that site’s domain (@historiansforpeace.org); and governs H-PAD’s data collection and usage policies more generally. By using the H-PAD website or signing up to receive emails from us you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection of Your Personal Information
If you voluntarily fill out a form or sign up for our email newsletter through our website, H-PAD will collect personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, and state of residence. If you sign up to become a member or make a donation to support H-PAD, you may be asked to provide additional personally identifiable information, such as your address and credit card information. 

There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by H-PAD. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, and referring website addresses. This information is used by H-PAD for the operation of the website, to maintain quality of the site, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the site.

H-PAD may also request further, optional information about your motivations for following our work, your institutional affiliations, and other information relevant to our organization’s mission to use our historical expertise to promote peace and democracy at home and abroad.

The information you voluntarily provide H-PAD through use of this website is used to provide you with the information you requested or fulfill your request to become a member or make a donation. H-PAD does not sell, rent, or lease this information to third parties. H-PAD may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external partners about an event, campaign, or other offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (email, name, and telephone number) is not transferred to the third party. In addition, H-PAD may share data with trusted partners to help us process payments or perform statistical analysis. H-PAD uses Mailerlite to communicate with subscribers and to maintain the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
